The University of Chicago Department of Pediatrics hosts ACGME-accredited fellowship training programs in eleven subspecialties, providing trainees with a broad exposure to clinical medicine as well as outstanding research opportunities. Our faculty includes national and world leaders in numerous areas of pediatric medicine. Our mission is to provide all fellows with cutting-edge training in clinical care, as well as mentorship and support for clinical, translational and/or laboratory-based research.

Dr. Ranjana Gokhale - Associate Professor of Pediatrics
Program Director, Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship
The Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program at The University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital is a three-year training program that prepares physicians to become clinician educators or clinician scientists. The first year of training is focused on clinical work in all areas of hematology, oncology and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies. We provide a robust clinical program with exposure to a wide array of diagnoses. The second and third years of training include 80% protected time for scholarly work in any of the areas of clinical, translational or basic science research. Our program will be participating in the NRMP process and accepting applications through ERAS 2020.
